Q&A With JLL’s Bob Knakal, Everyone’s Favorite Map Maker and NYC Real Estate Mentor

For decades, Bob Knakal has been a fixture of New York City’s commercial real estate market as both a leader of a brokerage firm and a top investment sales broker. After starting his career at Coldwell Banker, he launched Massey Knakal Realty Services, a firm he co-founded with Paul Massey in 1988 that specialized in mid-market building sales. After 27 years in business, in which time the firm grew to more than 200 brokers, the pair sold the company for $100 million to Cushman & Wakefield in 2015.
